terms and conditions

The general conditions of sale and the special conditions form a set which forms an integral part of the sales contract and whose overall acceptance is mandatory before the conclusion of any sale.

The reservation request entails acceptance of these conditions of sale and full and unreserved acceptance of their provisions.

1-Rental: The duration of the stay is fixed in advance and can only be modified with the agreement of KONOKORA ECOLODGE.

Cabin n°01 (Anshi): Accommodation is provided for 2 people with a minimum age of 12 years old to access it. A tolerance of two visitors is allowed from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The rental price includes:

The rental of your cabin between 3:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. the next day

Booking fees

Bed linen and towels

Private use of the swimming pool

Water and electricity consumption

VAT in accordance with current legislation

The tourist tax and any other taxes

The collection of household waste in a garbage bag in the hut.

2-Reservation: The reservation becomes effective after receipt of the general conditions signed with the words “read and approved” and payment of the deposit (40% of the amount of the total price of the stay) by credit card, bank transfer or cash. The reservation is firm and final only after receipt of the confirmation sent to the customer by KONOKORA ECOLODGE. Payment of the balance of the stay will be made on site at the reception of KONOKORA ECOLODGE (credit card, cash).

3-Cancellation:

In the event of cancellation or modification by you:

– less than 15 days before the scheduled arrival, the sums paid remain due.

– less than 48 hours before arrival, the entire stay will be due except in the case of “Force majeure” (3-2-Force majeure)

– in the event of “Force Majeure”, a postponement of the stay will be offered to you or a “credit” of the sums paid will be offered to you over a period of 2 years. Attention if the postponement is carried out on a date or tariff period higher than the sums paid the difference will be due.

To cancel a reservation, the customer is invited to contact KONOKORA ECOLODGE directly by telephone 0690 45 17 98 or by email at contact@konokora.fr.
The reservation cancellation is effective upon receipt of an email from KONOKORA ECOLODGE confirming the cancellation.

3-1-Modification or cancellation by KONOKORA ECOLODGE In the event of announced external events beyond our control (see 3-2-Force majeure), we may have to modify or cancel your stay for security reasons. We will then offer you a postponement of your stay to a later date within the following 12 months or a credit note over a period of 2 years.

3-2-Force majeure: Force majeure means any event external to the parties that is both unpredictable and insurmountable which prevents either the client or KONOKORA ECOLODGE from fulfilling all or part of the obligations provided for in the contract.
This is particularly the case in the event of a cyclone, tropical storm, strike, insurrection, riot,
prohibitions enacted by governmental or public authorities, restrictions related to COVID 19.
It is expressly agreed that force majeure suspends, for the parties, the performance of their reciprocal obligations and that each party bears the cost of the resulting costs.
In particular, customers will bear only the additional costs that may be incurred to allow the continuation of the trip, following the occurrence of a case of force majeure.

4-Rates: Our rates are subject to change depending on economic conditions or regulatory provisions, they include all taxes (excluding tourist tax) . Only the price on your invoice is valid. Important: if, for any reason whatsoever, there should be a price difference between the scheduled date of the stay and the postponed date, you will have to pay the difference.

4-1 Gift voucher: Gift vouchers are valid for one year. The validity date can be extended by 3 months against the lump sum of 60 euros. Gift vouchers are neither refundable nor exchangeable – Any modification or cancellation of the date of stay within 30 days will result in the loss of validity of the gift voucher.

5-Arrival: accommodation is available from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Any delay must be announced by telephone on 0690 45 17 98 or by email at konokora@gmail.com. Otherwise, the accommodation becomes available again 24 hours after the scheduled arrival date.

6-visitors: As a reminder, the accommodation is intended for two people, however two visitors will be authorized from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. In addition, parties and events of any kind are not allowed for the tranquility of the place.

7-Deposit: A deposit of €150 will be requested which will be returned to you after the inventory. In case of damage caused in the house or on the estate, property, furniture, objects or other, it will not be returned. An inventory of your accommodation is made before your arrival with repairs if necessary. Any embarrassing or damaged details must be reported as soon as you move in, reported by any means in your possession (photo, message.).
Our establishment is strictly reserved for our guests and prohibited for anyone who has not been introduced to receipt beforehand.

8- Means of payment accepted: Bank card, cash, exceptional bank transfer and holiday voucher.

9- Agreement of proof: The e-mails will prevail between the parties, particularly as to the nature and date of the reservation.
Electronic communications are considered by KONOKORA ECOLODGE and by the client as having probative value equivalent to that of written documents.
Our computer records, kept under reasonable security conditions, will provide proof of communications, reservations and payments made.</p >

10- General Data Protection Regulations:
The customer is informed that the personal information communicated to KONOKORA ECOLODGE is subject to computerized processing, unless expressly opposed by him. The customer has at any time a right of access, rectification or deletion with KONOKORA ECOLODGE.
The information requested from you when booking is essential for the proper processing of your request. This information is for the sole recipients of KONOKORA ECOLODGE concerned by the reservation request. The customer’s personal data will be kept in accordance with our confidentiality policy.
In accordance with the legislation in force, electronic contracts are subject to electronic archiving for a period of 10 years for any contract of a amount greater than €120.
The customer has a right of access to this data from KONOKORA ECOLODGE.
Our establishment undertakes not to sell, share or disclose your personal data< br />nominative to third parties.

11 – Applicable law
Any dispute, claim or dispute relating to the terms and conditions of booking a stay or accommodation are subject to French law .

12- Safety instructions
It is strictly forbidden to jump on the housing net, to jostle, to climb in trees or on the roof of the hut and to step over the barriers. We decline all responsibility in the event of an accident.

Smoking is not permitted in the cabin. Smokers may however smoke on the terrace and must use the ashtray provided for this purpose. It is strictly forbidden to throw cigarette butts outside the ashtrays provided for this purpose. The use of candles is strictly prohibited. Drug use is strictly prohibited. Alcohol should be consumed in moderation. It is strictly forbidden to throw anything from the top of the huts and on the route. The hut being a place of calm and rest, it is forbidden to shout, howl and speak too loudly, especially during access to the huts. Similarly, night travel must be done in the greatest calm. Violent behavior likely to cause altercations is prohibited. It is forbidden to bring people other than those who booked the stay into the cabin (for obvious safety and insurance reasons. Failure to comply with one of these instructions will result in the non-reimbursement of the deposit and will result in the breach of the rental contract by the customer, and KONOKORA ECOLODGE will terminate the rental, no compensation or reimbursement can be requested.

13-Children: Cabins cannot accommodate children under the age of 12 for safety reasons. A child over 12 remains the full responsibility of the accompanying adult.

14- Special conditions: KONOKORA ECOLODGE offers atypical cabins (sometimes duplex) with private swimming pool under the sole responsibility of its occupants.

15- Animals: Our pet friends are not allowed in our accommodations and the park.

16- Complaints: Any complaint relating to the stay must be sent by registered letter with A.R. within 30 days of the stay to the following address: KONOKORA ECOLODGE</ p>

17- Personal effects brought by the client: The client is responsible for any valuable personal items in his possession. He will be provided with a safe which he will have access to during his stay. The key to said safe will be given to him upon his arrival and must be returned to KONOKORA ECOLODGE when the accommodation is released.

18- Civil liability: The customer must hold civil liability insurance.

19- Responsibilities: KONOKORA ECOLODGE declines all responsibility in the event of loss or theft of the client’s personal effects. Similarly, KONOKORA ECOLODGE declines all responsibility in the event of damage or theft in vehicles left in the car park.

20- Litigation: In case of litigation, only the jurisdiction of the Court of Pointe à Pitre is recognized. In case of discrepancy on the interpretation or execution of the clauses of these general conditions, the parties will endeavor to settle their dispute amicably.

The accommodation offered being in the middle of nature and in the forest, the client will be led to live during his stay with the other inhabitants of the forest, the animals and the insects… it is also possible to certain times of the year to find leaves, twigs or even dust (pollen, fine seeds, residues of forest trees, etc.) in the open parts of the accommodation.

The estate being in a semi-urbanized area but also in the forest, some natural or urban noise “nuisances” may occur, the customer is asked to show understanding.

I, the undersigned, undertake to respect the safety rules as well as the general rental conditions and to ensure that those around me respect them. Any accident in non-compliance with these rules cannot be blamed on KONOKORA Ecolodge, nor on the municipality and will be my responsibility.
